Just because I was wrong
on certain issues of my day
based on 21st Century philosophies
applied through the prism of history
does NOT necessarily make me
the monster you wanna assign me to be…

Gotta temper subjective judgements
within the context of my times…

So stop poking us ghosts
that offend your woke sensibilities
lest we rise from our rumbling graves
and start haunting
your current hypocrisies
that will be future fodder inspection
for archeological outrage dissections

Falling Inevitible

Out of respect
and a sense
of historical context
we stuck to the plan…

The ending was a chapter
none of us did expect
when this all began…

Though in retrospect
it was quite obvious
all along
we were married
to an antiquated concept
that in the end
was never meant to last

Tumbling Down

Cruising down the highway…

Speed limit exceeded…

Much to your dismay
you see a cop car
in the mirror rear view…

What do you do?

A driver who is prudent
slows down
to comply with the law
while a motorist who rolls arrogant
speeds up…

When arrested
they offer up the defense
that everyone was doing it…

Screams about the injustice
for getting busted
doing 125
in a 65 mph zone..

The judge of course rejects
this false equivalency
because after all
the law is the law…

So tread lightly my MAGA friends
when defending a reckless jaded man
Hell bent on crashing your movement

History will not be kind
to all you partisan enablers
of a lame rationalization mind

Get off the cliff bound bus
while you still can

Down the Meat Aisle

We carnivores
of an alleged sensitive bent
rip into barbecued flesh
glazed in selective ignorance..

Skimming past the cruelty
inflicted on the grilled carcass
we are currently devouring..

Our indignant vegan friends
who ride shotgun with angels
skewer our hypocrisy
with their anti meat arguments
as we respond…

“Pass the ketchup”..

Though deep down
in the clogged bowels
of our lost conscience
we know that everybody
from our whole predatory
dominant species
is destined to be
the tasty prey
for ravenous worms
feasting on our mortality…

Karma patiently rides a life cycle

Pissy People

Pity the existence
of the outrage magnet..

Awash in perpetual grievance
from affairs not their business..

Pin balling from offense to offense..

Cancel this.. Cancel that..

Boycott the whole woke planet..

Til there is nothing left
but fellow pissed of hypocrites·
now bored out of their narrow minds
with only each other to protest

This doorless room
in the cold vacuum
rolls nonjudgmental..

Beyond time..

Neither day nor night…

Well past the vastness of infinity..

Enlightenment
is the acknowledgment
that we as a species
are all just passing through
