Oh great…

The beast we enable constantly
fearing his hardcore tenacity
is doing beastly things again

If we keep appeasing the bully
maybe he’ll go away eventually
or at least
if we smother him with accolades
the monster will be semi placated

He’s not such a bad guy actually

We’re gonna stay with this rationalization

Just gotta stay on his good side
and outlast his reign of anarchy

Once the beast is gone
and flushed into the cesspool of history

Let us collectively agree
to never do this nightmare again
